In 1886, the Worcester Bicycle Club held their annual sports at Barbourne, so their Hylton Road track must have closed by then.
The Worcester Chronicle of August 8th 1891 remarked that "The Barbourne ground has remarkable drying properties. It is based chiefly on gravel and sand, and the natural drainage is so perfect."
It is probable that the Barbourne track closed at the end of 1891. The ground was used as a football field and then built over in the 1930's.
